Second-story or elevated plywood decks are popular outdoor spaces in both residential and commercial buildings, but unless they are appropriately waterproofed, the space below the deck can be difficult to use and even experience water damage that is unsightly.

The ALX Decking System is a waterproof walking deck system. It is reinforced with metal lath and is installed with a series of three separate polymer-modified cementitious applications, and sealed with special topcoat. The finished product weighs approximately 2 1⁄2 lbs per square foot. This system gives plywood the look and feel of concrete with a decorative appeal.
We will provide you a maintenance sheet on how to care for your deck.
Exterior surfaces can be swept daily with water and a broom. For tougher dirt or grease use a specific degreaser provided by your contractor diluted with water 20:1 and a soft bristle brush or broom, be sure to rinse well. To remove calcium or lime build up, brush diluted 100 grain vinegar onto the surface; be sure to rinse any residue.
Decking Around should inspect your surface for wear every 2 to 3 years. Your deck should be resealed by your contractor with the appropriate clear sealer every 3 to 5 years depending upon traffic and UV exposure.
We offer a one year labor and workmanship warranty. Materials are warranted by the manufacturer through the installer.
If possible, we suggest booking about two months in advance. On occasion, we are able to accommodate rush jobs. The best way, is to plan with us as you begin to plan your overall project.
Completion of your ALX-Deck System depends on the size and scope of the project. Some can be completed in under a week, while more complex or custom designs can take longer.
The cost of refinishing your deck depends entirely on what you want done.
Generally, we charge by the square foot plus any repairs or corrective Issues.
